Lawrence A. Katz, M.D.

Dr Lawrence Katz | Cardiologist Manhattan | New York City | NYCLawrence A. Katz, M.D., M.P.H. is a cardiologist at New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center for over twenty-five years and is a founding partner of New York Cardiology Associates. His interests include coronary disease, echocardiography, and adult congenital and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Katz completed his undergraduate education at Columbia College and his medical education at George Washington University. He received his Master’s of Public Health from the Joseph Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University. He completed a residency in internal medicine at George Washington University Medical Center where he was asked to be chief resident and a cardiovascular fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Katz worked as a clinical associate at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health where he did research in Cardiac Metabolism.

Dr. Katz is board certified, has served on the echocardiography subcommittee of the American College of Cardiology, as a cardiology consultant to The New York Giants, and travels as the Medical Director for Global Services at New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell Medical Center.
