An electrocardiogram, also known as an EKG or ECG, is a noninvasive diagnostic test that detects electrical activity in the heart.
Echocardiography employs ultrasound to assess heart function and health by creating images from sound waves.
A stress echocardiogram assesses heart function at rest and during exercise, to identify areas with insufficient blood or oxygen supply.
Nuclear perfusion imaging, or a nuclear stress test, diagnoses if the heart receives enough blood under stress and rest conditions.

New York Cardiology Associates was founded in 1995 when five New York Hospital cardiologists, (with over 75 years of combined clinical experience) merged their practices. Their goal was to allow each doctor to continue to provide personalized care to their patients, while providing the necessary support that a group practice can provide: state of the art equipment, consultations with peers, 24/7 availability. The group has continued to grow, and currently has 8 cardiologists. It is the largest private, single specialty medical group at Weill Cornell.
